Tony Leondis has been tapped to direct Exodus Film Group's CG-animated comedy Igor. Production begins early next year, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The feature, which the Weinstein Co. will distribute in North America, follows hunchbacked lab assistant Igor (voiced by Christian Slater) who dreams of becoming a scientist like his devilish boss (John Cleese) and winning a first-place award at the annual Evil Science Fair. Steve Buscemi will voice the role of Igor's smart but grumpy lab rabbit.
