We broke the news (here) last week that Michael Dougherty would write and direct Trick 'R Treat (which people are still writing incorrectly) for Bryan Singer (Superman Returns) to produce for Warner Bros. Pictures. The only details we had for you guys was that the film will hit theaters October 5th, 2007. Today the plot was revealed and can be found inside. Production in Vancouver is scheduled to begin mid-November.

Production in Vancouver is scheduled to begin mid-November on “Trick or Treat”, a new horror film from “X2″ and “Superman Returns” co-writer Michael Dougherty. Dougherty penned the script and will make his feature legtht directorial debut on the film which interweaves four tales of chaos and malevolence and has been loosely described as “Pulp Fiction” set on Halloween night.
Dougherty’s previosly made the Halloween themed animated short “Season’s Greetings,” that involves the traumatic theft of a candy bag on Halloween night. The boy who put the “trick” into “trick-or-treat” confronts the boogie man thief.
