Davis DVD reports that one of the big surprises of the Summer, Monster House (review) will be release on October 24th from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, the CG-animated feature arrives in separate anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen editions, each with Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include filmmaker commentary, seven featurettes (Imaginary Heroes, Beginner's Luck, Best Of Friends, Lots Of Dots, Black Box Theater, Making It Real and Did You Hear That?), "Eliza vs. Nebbercracker" Multi-Angle Evolution feature, "The Art of Monster House" photo gallery and DVD-ROM materials. Retail will be $28.95. Also look for Blu-ray and UMD versions day-and-date.
