As rumored for quite sometime, Fangoria that Anchor Bay Entertainment is negotiating to acquire two high-profile slasher-film homages: Adam Green’s all-star bloodbath Hatchet (review) and Scott Glosserman’s award-winning festival hit Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (review) (both films playing at this year's Screamfest in Hollywood, CA). Both films may get (much-deserved) regional theatrical releases before debuting on DVD in 2007; exact specs on each title’s respective special features are to be announced.
