Davis DVD reported this weekend that MGM Home Entertainment's newly titled The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Gruesome Edition is now due on October 10th - delayed from September 26th date that was originally reported. In addition, the official cover art was revealed, which looks very similar to the Saw DVD releases. Inside you'll find the art and the full specs. Young DJ Vantia Block is hosting a music show when two renegade hoodlums phone her and start making trouble. The situation changes rapidly as the kids drive to a passageway and get sawed to pieces by Leatherface while the shocked DJ listens the kids' screams. Local sheriff approaches Block and convinces her to play the recording made from the phone call on radio, hoping that the killers would show up.
Davis DVD reports:
Look for an all-new 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer supervised by DP Richard Kooris, an audio commentary with director Tobe Hooper and a second commentary with actors Bill Moseley, Caroline Williams and makeup FX artist Tom Savini, the all-new 90-min. documentary "It Runs in the Family" split into six parts ("Texas Screenplay Massacre" with scriptwriter L.M.
