This news is becoming tedious, annoying and just plain ridiculous. What in gods name in going on over at Paramount Home Video? Seriously? We've been reporting on the trio of upcoming releases, The Roost (review), Reeker (review) and The Curse of El Charro, which were all being dumped on video October 3rd with terrible artwork and no apparent extras. Today it was revealed (with new art again) that The Roost will get some love, while Reeker has been pulled from the slate. What the hell is going on?! Read on for details...
Fangoria got ahold of the final disc specs for THE ROOST and THE CURSE OF EL CHARRO, to be released by Paramount Home Video on the Showtime label October 3. (The company will no longer be releasing REEKER, which it had also previously announced for that date.) THE ROOST, Ti West’s well-reviewed rural chiller, will be presented in 16x9-enhanced widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio, with the following features:
• Making of THE ROOST featurette
• The Truth About Bats featurette
• Student film by West
• Photo gallery
Rich Ragsdale’s CURSE OF EL CHARRO, a desert-set youth-horror film featuring new Leatherface Andrew Bryniarski, will have the same visual/audio specs and these extras:
• Into Something Rich and Strange featurette
• Photo gallery
• Trailer
Each disc will retail for $24.99.
