Those good fellas over at AICN today were able to officially confirm that the Escape from EarthRUMOR Arrow in the Head and us reported on here a few days back is in fact false. Here's direct word from John Carpenter, ESCAPE FROM EARTH is an idea we had several years ago, but it never really got any further than that, he said. When AICN asked him if hed met at Paramount, he just laughed. Nope. There you have it, straight from the horses mouth. But in other news, we discovered that Carpenter will be scoring Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, the second half of WeinsteinCo.'s Grind House, which hits theaters in April.
A little disappointed in the fact that they're won't be a third "Escape" film, but I'am totally fucking stoked that he's scoring for Tarantino...sweet!
