Hitting retailers next Tuesday is Barrel Entertainment's special two-disc DVD release of Leif Jonker's cult classic indie horror pic Darkness: The Vampire Version (also available in single disc), which was shot for a measly $6,000 in 1993. Inside you'll find an exclusive disgusting clip from the film entitled "chainsaw." Don't forget to click here and enter our very special contest, which ends this week. This extremely violent and gory pic is about a small community is besieged by vampires. After he watches friends ravaged in a convenience store, a lone avenger goes off to do battle with the undead, armed with shotgun, chainsaw, and Holy water. Later he finds other survivors and they try to stay alive long enough to do battle with Liven, king of the vampires...

For Immediate Release: Free DARKNESS: THE VAMPIRE VERSION documentary screening!
"Writer/Director Leif Jonker and FX artist/actor Gary Miller will host the World Premier of the 30-minute documentary VAMPIRE BOOTCAMP: REFLECTIONS ON A DECADE OF DARKNESS at Oscar's Sports Bar at the Warren Oldtown Theatre in downtown Wichita, KS, tonight, Monday, May 29th at 8pm! The Warren is the same theater where we held the World Premier of the new version back in October of 2004. (See attached photo.) The doc will be projected onto Oscar full sized theater movie screen -- this may be the only time to see this video on the "big screen", so don't miss out!
Many of the cast & crew will be in attendance including BOOTCAMP interviewees Randall Aviks, Mike Gisick, Cena Donham, Lisa Franz, Cara Miller, Veronica Page Dennen and Jake Euker. Besides BOOTCAMP, the 2-minute trailer for the film, the music video for the song "World of Sin" from the band APOSTASY and a variety of other supplementals and easter eggs will also be shown. Come celebrate with the cast & crew of DARKNESS as they finally reach the end of a very, very long road to the release of this DVD!
