The list continues to grow, even as production has ceased on WeinsteinCo.'s Grind House, which is now shooting in Austin, Texas. Today we received word from scooper 'Toenails' in Austin who reports that Woody Harrelson, along with a few notable others, have joined the star-filled cast. Read on for the skinny. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez each will direct a 75-minute horror tale including fake movie trailers in between both movies. "I spotted Michael Parks (Kill Bill) down here at Austin, Texas a couple of times now. Seems he's filming a role in "Grind House" - which has been on hiatus for a week because of the Rodriguez's split. He's not the sheriff though, because Michael Biehn has the starring role as the sheriff.
The local newspaper says Emmy Robbin (Sin City), Josh Brolin (Into the Blue) and Woody Harrelson (North Country) have been spotted on set."
That would give us a tally of: John Jarrett, Danny Trejo, Alicia Rachel Marek, Tom Savini, Josh Brolin, Dean Fernando, Marley Shelton, Michael Biehn, Mickey Rourke, Zoe Bell, Robert Rodriguez, Michael Parks, Emmy Robbin and Woody Harrelson! Not too shabby!
