We knew the cast was good, and we knew the idea was cool- but pulling off a kick-ass indie horror film isn't as easy as you'd think. Today we received our very own review of Scott Glosserman's (interview) Behind the Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon (review) straight from this year's SXSW film fest, and it's just as positive, just as raving, just as exciting as the other reviews that have appeared thus far. The next great psycho horror slasher has given a documentary crew exclusive access to his life as he plans his reign of terror over the sleepy town of Glen Echo, all the while deconstructing the conventions and archetypes of the horror genre for them. The film stars Nathan Baesel (interview), Robert Englund (interview), Matt Bolt, Jenafer Brown, Krissy Carlson, Scott Wilson, Zelda Rubenstein, Angela Goethals and Kane Hodder.
