Michelle Trachtenberg has come a long way since starring in Nickelodeon's "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" as Nona Mecklenberg. After starring in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" for three years, she has broke out into the film world and has a handful of films now in production, one now being the remake of Bob Clark's classic film Black Christmas, which will be directed by Glen Morgan and James Wong (Final Destination). Michelle Trachtenberg is set to topline 2929 Productions and Dimension Films' horror remake Black Christmas, from the filmmaking team James Wong and Glen Morgan (Final Destination).
She stars next to Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Katie Cassidy and Oliver Hudson, according to Production Weekly .
Black Christmas is about a killer who terrorizes a sorority house with phone calls before he begins to murder various sorority sisters during the holiday break.
The film, which starts shooting at the end of this month in Vancouver, is slated for a Christmas 2006 release. Wong and Morgan are producing, with Morgan writing and directing.
