Ok guys, I heard a hilarious rumor through the pipeline about Scary Movie 4 that I just confirmed as fact, and I'd love to share. I just hope the writing team behind this sequel do something a little more creative than "the hotdog goes into the donut hole" for a laugh. Over at Anna Faris' official website she confimrs our report that Dimension Films' Scary Movie 4 will open with a nod to Saw as Shaquille O'Neal and Dr. Phil will wake up chained by their ankles in a bathroom. I'd say that's a pretty terrifying way to wake up!
Anna writes over at ET: "It all takes place in this nasty, filthy bathroom [where] Shaq and I are chained up together," explains Dr. Phil, "and the way out is you've got to cut body parts off to get loose, so he and I are wondering which one of us will wind up doing it."
"I want people to know I don't take myself too seriously as it might seem when I am into a heavy issue," says Dr. Phil. "I always try to work with humor as much as I can because it diffuses a lot of [people's] defensiveness. I think it's good to make fun of yourself."
Right now Anna Faris and Shaun Landers are confirmed to star and David Zucker returns to direct. Scary Movie 4 hits theaters April 14th, 2006.
