In the battle for the top of the box office Walt Disney Studios' distribution unit scored big with Flightplan as the movie took the #1 spot with $24,646,000. Warner Bros. Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (review #1, #2) did fantastic as well pulling in $20,130,000 is it's first full week of release for the #2 spot. New Line Cinema's A History of Violence (review), pilled in a nice $504,000 in only 14 theaters, the movie opens wide next weekend. Fox Searchlight's Roll Bounce opened in the #4 spot with $8,000,000. Read the full box office report here.
