Now that Victor Salva has brought two profitable horror movies to the plate for United Artists, Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2, his stock is rising in Hollywood. Next up he could be helming the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Read on for details.
Deadmanwalkin informed me that Cinescape got a scoop on Victor Salvas involvement with the Invasion of the Body Snatchers remake. Here's the scoop:
"JEEPERS CREEPERS director Victor Salva has confirmed that he's involved with the remake of BODY SNATCHERS, reports BBCi's Nev Pierce. Salva told the reporter of the previous films "I think they're all so fantastic. I loved Abel Ferrara's, I loved Phil Kaufman's and I absolutely loved the original."
"As for what his take will be on the classic tale, Salva's still working on that. "I think it's just one of the best ideas that any writer has ever come up with and that's why it translates so well in each incarnation," he adds."
"Before he begins work on BODY SNATCHERS Salva's next project may be a ghost story titled LIGHTHOUSE or a horror film set in World War II called THE WATCH."
