Based on the short story Button, Button, the story spawned a small cult following and earned more respect as an episode in the Twilight Zone (twice). Awhile back Eli Roth had said he would direct a film entitled The Box, which he was writing with Richard Kelly of Donnie Darko fame. It seemed like it may never happen, until Richard Kelly confirmed it today. On the set of Southland Tales he explains that they are still working on the script and that he hopes to have it in production as his next project with Eli. He exclaims, "We want it to be something special, so it’s very high, very high, on the priority list." More details soon. Watch this spot for interviews with The Rock, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean Williams Scott and director Richard Kelly sometime in the near future.
