While on the set of Richard Kelly's Southland Tales, star Sean William Scott was asked about the rumors that he may play Ash in the upcoming Evil Dead remake. His response, a laugh and a clarification that it was a bogus rumor. He also joked that he'd LOVE the role, but would be really nervous to go there (venemous fans everywhere!). Watch this spot for interviews with The Rock, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Seann William Scott and director Richard Kelly sometime in the near future. Southland Tales, which is looking for a release sometime next year, is a a genre-blender, this time combining thriller, comedy and musical elements in a near-future story set during a Los Angeles heat wave. "Southland" is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster.
