Can Platinum Dunes pick 'em or what? In the first official casting news for the film, we've been informed by an anonymous source that the stunningly beautiful Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious, D.E.B.S) will play the lead role in New Line Cinema's Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel, which will begin shooting in the coming months for a (possible) fall 2006 release. We've confirmed this news to be 100% true. Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls, Rings) will direct the pic written by David Schow. The story follows a group of kids who run afoul of chainsaw-wielding psycho Leatherface and his demented family. The story will reveal Leatherface's origins.
