Fangoria confirms the news we've been hearing around town that Andrew Bryniarski, whom played Leatherface in New Line's remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, will not be returning as the chainsaw swinging madman in Platinum Dunes' Texas Chainsaw Prequel, which begins shooting next month. Jonathan Liebesman (Rings, Darkness Falls) will be directing the film, which stars R. Lee Ermey once again. Fangoria adds, "TCM III Leatherface R.A. Mihailoff’s name has even been thrown back into the ring." The story follows a group of kids who run afoul of chainsaw-wielding psycho Leatherface and his demented family. The story will reveal Leatherface's origins.
