More Asian horror news tonight as Magnolia Pictures have taken distrib rights on Kiyoshi Kurosawa's creepy as hell Kairo (review) (also known as Pulse) in all English-language territories, plus Mexico, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain, according to Variety. What does this mean? Well with the Weinstein's releasing the US remake next year, this could mean a small theatrical release for the original in a similar vein to Lions Gate's Ju-on: The Grudge. The pic follows a group of friends rocked by the sudden suicide of a pal and his subsequent, ghostly reappearance in grainy computer and video images.
