New figures based off of George Romero's "Land of the Dead"!
SOTA Toys announces that they will be producing action figures based off of Universal Pictures' upcoming fourth installment in George Romero's "Dead" saga - Land of the Dead - in theaters June 24th.
"With the living dead encompassing the world, the last human survivors are holed up in a walled city, the wealthy living above the fallen world as if nothing has happened. But those that live beneath the skyscrapers know that things are about to change for the worst - the zombies have begun to evolve!"
"We're stoked to be working on the latest installment of the "Dead" series," said SOTA Toys' President Jerry Macaluso. "If you're going to make zombie movie action figures, you might as well make the best. George Romero is THE undisputed 'King of the Dead.'"
While still in development, the movie figures will be released under SOTA Toys' Now Playing lineup of 7" scale figures. Tentatively scheduled are figures of zombie "leader" Big Daddy (Eugene Clark), Blade (special effects guru Tom Savini) and Cholo (John Leguizamo) with a fourth figure to be announced at a later date.
Look for Land of the Dead action figures to be released in early 2006.
