Jack B emailed me a link to an interview Robert Englund did with The Onion. Englund, in response to a question which asked if Freddy vs Jason is the end, was quoted as saying, "It makes sense... This is a hybrid, and I don't know if it bears repeating. I don't want to wrestle with Chucky in the mud, and I don't want to tag-team with Michael Myers and Leatherface. The only rumor I know is of a prequel script floating around. A nasty little film called Elm Street: The First Kills, which would sort of be like a serial-killer film of what happened before Freddy was torched by the parents."
