Miramax's Nick Phillips tells Moviehole, "As for Halloween 9, that's been quite a journey so far. We have a few different storylines we're considering, all of which respect the classic mythology while trying to bring something new to the franchise. It's been a real honor to work with the one and only Moustapha Akkad and his son, Malek. I mean, how many times have I seen his name in huge orange letters on screen!! Those guys are the keepers of the flame and I would hate to mess that up. I go on a lot of horror websites everyday, mostly as a fan, and I seem to read a new rumor every week about H9, none of which are accurate.
