Our reporter SuperHeidi just got to see what I'm told is an amazing 13-minute short film adaptation of DC comic Lobo Paramilitary Xmas Special. In my early years of comic book collecting, this comic was easily one of the gems and I would od just about anything to see this as a full fledge movie- or even just check out the short. Read on for Heidi's thoughts on this bad boy and hope for more in the future. Andrew Bryniarski (Leatherface) plays Lobo and damn is he perfect....

Andrew Bryniarski is dynamite as Lobo, a role it seems he was born to play. He’s got the right attitude, the right walk, the talk, and he delivers his lines like a pro. The rest of the cast of this extremely funny and dark low-budget horror film is also spectacularly dead-on in their ability to play of off Lobo’s personality. Did I mention that the other characters happen to be The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus? It’s the most ****ed-up Christmas special I’ve ever seen… including all those creepy animated pieces of **** from my childhood… you know, with all the elves and fairies and weird-looking young Santas and everything. It’s a dark look at Holidays through the eyes of Lobo….
The Easter Bunny, a prostitute loving, gambling, drug addict, wants to get rid of Santa Claus. Santa’s got all the good deal when it comes to making the kids happy, and the Easter Bunny wants his due. Lobo, who will kill anyone for the right amount of money, agrees to axe Santa in return for payment. Santa, however, is a gun-toting badass beneath his white-bearded exterior, and Lobo finds himself up to an interesting challenge. Castration, blood, murder, guns, violence, and plenty of cussing round out the short, and it’s ****ing hilarious.
This film has been hard to find for fans of both Lobo and Bryniarski; it’s not out anywhere. Rumor has it this was made in order to pitch a feature-length version of the story as a film, so no one has wanted to let t he cat out of the bag yet, so to speak. But Bryniarski has been kind enough to allow Bloody-Disgusting an exclusive look at his pet project, so we can report first hand that this ****ed-up, gore-heavy and raunchy flick would be a great, and sorely needed, original concept for genre film.
