Ok, I know I will be getting torn apart from everyone who visits the site, but I have to say it. I am actually looking forward to seeing BloodRayne, not because I think Uwe Boll is good at what he does, and not because I think it will be a great movie. It's about a hot as hell girl who is half vampire who kills truckloads of people, and now honestly you would think Uwe Boll couldn't even screw that up, but it seems like he is trying real hard to do just that. An adaptation of Majesco's hit videogame about a fearless vampire killer who happens to be half-vampire herself. In a move that surely will twist the knickers of the game's fans, "BloodRayne" will be set in 18th-century Transylvania. Read on for the news...
Dread Central reports,
January 2006 release for the video game adaptation, though we’re still not sure who will be putting the film out here in the states. Apparenlty Fantastic Films International has some kind of distribution for the movie, but there's no studio involvment that I'm aware of as of yet. He did, however, say that Universal has bought the game rights in Europe, I’m really not sure what that has anything to do with the movie, however...
Composer Henning Lohner, whose past work includes Santa’s Slay, Hellraiser: Deader, The Ring Two, and Incident at Loch Ness, can now add the score for Bloodrayne to his resume, which he's working on as you read this.
