Robert Englund talked tonight on MSN about Freddy vs Jason and answered a question about the DVD, which we probably won't see for a good six months. Beware of potential alternate ending spoilers for the DVD release!
Celluloid Shockers writes, "While in an exclusive chat on MSN this evening, Robert Englund was asked about the DVD for 'Freddy Vs Jason' and what we could expect from it, although he didn't know many details, he did in fact share the following information:
"One thing you'll see that I know of, because I haven't worked on my segment yet, one thing you can look forward to is one of the original endings that we shot with Jason Ritter. He's our reluctant hero. You'll see him with Monica Keena during their first time (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) and he starts to wiggle and you see his hand turn into a familiar shape. We decided not to use that ending because some test audiences thought there would be a "Son of Freddy" movie."
I own the actual script for FvJ, which is pretty dead on to the flick (some dialogue changes), but the ending in the script is very different from both this and the theatrical cut. I wonder if they filmed "three" endings!?
