So much for the great Quentin Tarantino jumping on board New Line Cinema's Friday the 13th franchise- according to QT it was never going to happen, which is a total load of crap. Read and to see what he said and prepare for another few months of silence while we wait for the dreaded "Plan C"...
Being a geek himself, how could he completely lie to us- especially when geeks know the power of the internet. Integrity man! Come on! Here's Quentin digging himself a hole to Empire Online, not that the news was supposed to get out there anyways:"What’s happening with Friday The 13th? Nothing at all! It’s a complete lie. I like Jason and everything, but I’ve no intention of directing a movie! New Line talked to me about it, but it was a complete fabrication, that article. I would love to do a horror film. I’m just saying it’s not going to be Friday The 13th..."
I'm glad we didn't break the news- because then QT would be calling me a liar to my face and then I'd have to declare war on the MF.
