EXCLUSIVE: Ever since NECA knocked those Beetlejuice figures into a dinstant memory with the release of the Hellraiser line, things have been looking way up for the excellent toyline. Announced at the Wizard World Chicago this year are two things I think you'll be happy to hear about, along with a surprise that could follow shortly, read on for details...
While talking with some of the reps for NECA, I found out a few things to look forward to besides the awesome Ghostbuster head knockers and Hellraiser 2 toyline. First off, the third installment of the Hellraiser toyline is already being worked out and is aiming for an April 2004 release. In addition, the 18" Chatterer figure that is being worked on might include a motion sensored jaw activation, where it would chatter at you when you walk by!
Second, and most surprising of all was the anouncement of an 18" Crow figure! Forget the McFarlane piece, this one will blow it out of the water (and maybe this one will actually stand up).
Finally, NECA announced that a second series of Gremlins figures is already go! Keep your eyes peeled for these around spring/summer 2004. From what I understand, we are looking at a Bat Gremlin figure, a Spider Gremlin and the Rambo Gizmo.
Last but not least is a super SUPER surprise, which I cannot announce yet. Let me get permission first and I'll hopefully have an awesome announcement by the end of this week!
