You guys are going to love this story- it appears that Jamie Lee Curtis won't be returning to the 'Halloween' franchise ever, according to Ananova. But the reason why? I guess you'll just have to read on and find out for yourself...
Retirement rocks
In the midst of all the Halloween 9 rumors, Jamie Lee Curtis was rumored to be reprising her role as Laurie Strode. Then I heard the script was canned- could this be the reason? J. Wentworth sends in the following scoop from Ananova:
"Jamie Lee Curtis says she's old and fat
Jamie Lee Curtis says she is quitting movies because she's too old and fat.
The star says she's retiring from the big screen because she's "a 46-year-old fat woman."
She said: "I think I'll phase out acting. I know that the film business is incredibly cruel as you get older. My age is an important factor. I am not ageing well.
"I don't want to see my face growing old on camera."
But the actress, who is married to Spinal Tap director Christopher Haden-Guest, also admitted her decision had been influenced by her children.
The Hollywood star, who has two adopted children, Annie, 18, and Tom, eight, confessed she decided to quit acting so she can spend more time with her family reports Femalefirst.co.uk.
She added: "Other things are more important to me now. My little son Tom is eight and needs his mother."
