Big fan of John Carpenter, can't get enough of him? Then head on down to your local book store and pick up JOHN CARPENTER: THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS, read on for details...
Fangoria put it nicely, "Cinema book specialist Silman-James Press has just issued JOHN CARPENTER: THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS to bookstores everywhere. Basically a book-length interview with the director by Gilles Boulenger (who has also written tomes on Tim Burton and APOCALYPSE NOW and was the editor of the French cult movie mag Cinephage), PRINCE covers all Carpenter?s films ?as well as varied topics including his Bible Belt childhood, German Expressionism, Michael Myers, Howard Hawks, John Wayne, Stephen King, quantum physics and attractive female extras,? according to the publisher. Illustrated with black-and-white and 24 pages of color photos, the paperback original lists for $19.95."
We'll be receiving a copy shortly, if anyone is interested in doing a book review, email me at bradmiska@bloody-disgusting.com with a sample of your work and your address with Carpenter in the subject.
