Remember when you used to have to earn your place in halls of legends? Whomever controls the Hollywood throne has tarnished its legacy forever by creating a despicable tourist trap in an attempt to draw vacationers to their castle.
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will have their hand and footprints immortalized in the cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on November 3, just weeks prior to the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, says THR.
Since its 1928 inception, only a select 250-plus recipients have been invited to partake in the celebrated ceremony, making it one of the most prestigious honors in Hollywood. An honor that literally means sh*t now.
Going back to EARNING a place in history, Lautner’s solo-debut Abduction poorly performed to $25 million. In 2010, co-star and teen heartthrob Pattinson’s Remember Me did even worse – a lowly $19 million. Stewart is no draw either: The Runaways took in $3m in 2010 and the 2009 Adventureland made only $16m.
So let’s hear it, a big congratulations and standing ovation to the three most deserving actors in Hollywood. Let your legacy live in infamy! (DO THE RIGHT THING and turn down the invitation.)
