A Father of a Beast in New ‘Outcast’ Clip

Published

Indomina Releasing has provided us with another clip from the August 30th VOD release (Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Brighthouse) of Colm McCarthy’s Irish black magic horror Outcast (review), which screened at last year’s FrightFest and Screamfest horror film festivals.

The clip, entitled “come with me”, teases a beast, a best who may just be the protag’s father…

Mary (Kate Dickie, TV’s “The Pillars of the Earth”) harbors a dark history, but must confront her past when a hunter with magical powers (James Nesbitt) is assigned to capture her and kill her son. As the terrifying cat-and-mouse game continues, locals begin to die at the hands of an unknown life force and a deadly fear takes hold.

Check out the clip inside.

insidious 5 trailer

In the wake of last year’s box office hit Insidious: The Red Door, Sony has announced tonight that the next installment in the Insidious franchise has been dated for 2025 release.

You can expect the untitled next movie in theaters August 29, 2025.

Deadline notes in their report tonight that this particular project is NOT the previously announced spinoff movie Thread: An Insidious Tale, which doesn’t yet have a release date.

Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani will star in Thread: An Insidious Tale.

Director James Wan’s original Insidious movie in 2011 was followed by Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015), Insidious: The Last Key (2018), and last year’s Insidious: The Red Door, which became the highest grossing movie in the entire franchise thus far.

Needless to say, this franchise still has a lot of life left in it. Stay tuned for more.
