It’s described by the producers as “an intelligent slasher film with gothic elements and an unexpected ending.

The cast is headlined by Sabrina Reiter (star of both Dead in 3 Days films), Melanie Winiger, Herbert Leiser, and Martin Loos.

Back in November we showed you the first ever stills, while inside you’ll find the first official poster that offers up a bloody shroom. “Losing Control is Just the Beginning.
Eight young people drive to the Swiss Jura region, food and tents in the trunk. It’s autumn and high season for a magic mushroom that grows there – the reason for their trip. After a few problems they arrive at the desired location deep in the woods, the tents are set up, the mushrooms are collected and when it gets dark the party starts. Everything is fine until one of the youths wants to get beer and comes back with a blood-covered and smashed face. They don’t know what happened but need to find help. As they discover that their car has a flat tire and their phones don’t work, they seek shelter in a nearby farmhouse. But that’s just where they were supposed to go. In a nerve-racking countdown one after another gets killed by their dangerous haunters…

Described as an “epic odyssey,” the upcoming werewolf thriller Wolfland is being directed by Sean Brosnan, and Sean’s movie star dad Pierce Brosnan has signed on to star this week.

Variety reports that Wolfland will feature “creature and design effects” from Imaginarium Studios (Planet of the Apes, The Lord of the Rings), the company founded by Andy Serkis.

The film “follows a young teenager who, when his sister is viciously attacked and showing signs of a transformation, leaves his small village in search of a legendary werewolf hunter who can reverse the gruesome curse. When he finds the “legend,” Devlin, slumped against a bar and in no mood for ghost stories, Delvin takes the kid’s money and agrees to hunt down this phantom monster, only to find themselves in a deadly whirlwind of carnage.”

Sean Brosnan (My Father Die) co-wrote the screenplay with Matt D’Elia.

“I’m excited to be working with Pierce on a film that aims to redefine the werewolf sub-genre,” said Sean Brosnan. “With the amazing special effects talents at Imaginarium, we’ll craft a werewolf transformation set to rival the iconic scenes from An American Werewolf in London. We’re thrilled about the potential impact of an expanding Wolfland universe.”

Producers include Marcus Warren for Light Sound Frequency and Christian Moore for The Consortium.
