Sundance ’11 VIDEO: Lucky McKee’s ‘The Woman’ Causes Outrage!
East coast writer John Marrone just emailed me an amazing video from the halls of the Sundance Film Festival premiere of The Woman, Luck McKee’s Offspring sequel that follows a successful country lawyer who captures and attempts to “civilize” the last remaining member of a violent clan that has roamed the Northeast coast for decades. In the video you will see a theatergoer absolute lose his sh*t over the film: “This is not art, this is bullsh*t, this is degradation to women,” he screams adding that “the film outta be confiscated, burned; theres no value is showing this to anyone.” He then points to a woman and exclaims, “Did you see this woman? She passed out over disgust!” Classic!!!! What a drama queen LOLOL!
Maika Monroe (It Follows, Longlegs) stars in the upcoming psychological horror thriller Victorian Psycho, and Bleecker Street has unleashed the brand new official trailer today.

Maika Monroe stars as eccentric governess Winifred Notty, who arrives at a remote gothic manor where strange happenings stir suspicion that she’s not what she seems.
Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho), Jason Isaacs (Honey Bunch), Ruth Wilson, Amy De Bruhn, and “Hamnet” breakout Jacobi Jupe also star.
Zachary Wigon (Sanctuary) directed the film from a script by author Virginia Feito (Mrs. March), based on her novel of the same name. Victorian Psycho is produced by Dan Kagan (Longlegs) and Sebastien Raybaud (Greenland: Migration).
Victorian Psycho is rated ‘R’ for “strong bloody violence and brief sexual material.”
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Carnage becomes pretty dang delightful in Maika Monroe’s capable hands. Victorian Psycho operates on familiar slay grounds, but it’s an absolute blast thanks to its zany style and deranged sense of fun.”
