‘Twilight Zone: Season 3’ Blu-ray Detailed

For those of you enjoying Image Entertainment’s incredible Blu-ray releases, they’re now gearing up for Twilight Zone: Season 3 (1961). The high-def release is jam-packed with extra features, all of which are detailed inside, courtesy of High Def Digest. For fans of horror, this is the definitive TV series that inspired decades of terror.
The release will be a 5-disc set and will contain all 37 episodes in the third season in 1080p video, an uncompressed monaural soundtrack, and supplements include: Audio commentaries by actors Bill Mumy, Lois Nettleton, William Windom, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Cornthwaite and Cliff Robertson; Audio commentary by Jonathan Winters for “A Game of Pool,” plus Winters reads the alternate ending from the original script; Clip from the 1989 remake of “A Game of Pool,” featuring George Clayton Johnson’s original ending; Clip from the 1985 remake of “Dead Man’s Shoes,” featuring Helen Mirren in “Dead Woman’s Shoes”; Vintage audio recollections with Buzz Kulik, Buck Houghton, Richard L. Bare, Lamont Johnson and Earl Hamner; and Rare Rod Serling appearances as a guest on The Garry Moore Show and Tell It to Groucho and as host of the popular game show Liar’s Club.

Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be: 19 new audio commentaries, featuring The Twilight Zone Companion author Marc Scott Zicree, author/film historian Gary Gerani (Fantastic Television), authors/historians Scott Skelton and Jim Benson (Rod Serling’s Night Gallery: An After Hours Tour), Twilight Zone writers Earl Hamner, George Clayton Johnson and John Tomerlin, writer William F. The SCREAMBOX Original documentary Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story is now streaming on SCREAMBOX, and it’s next coming to VHS!

A limited edition of only 50 copies worldwide, the VHS copies of the Englund documentary will go up for grabs on Saturday, April 27 at 12pm EST on Lunchmeat’s official website.

Josh Schafer of Lunchmeat explains, “With so many of Englund’s works being seen and familiarized on videotape, it only felt right to offer fans and collectors the opportunity to experience this fantastic doc on VHS. We all know the Freddy movies just feel different on videocassette, and we wanted to bring that feel to this film for those who want it.”
