First Look at Anthony DiBlasi’s ‘Cassadaga’!
Last week Bloody Disgusting’s David Harley took to the Florida filming of Cassadaga, Clive Barker alumni Anthony DiBlasi’s follow-up directorial effort to Dread. Featuring Kelen Coleman (“CSI:NY”), Kevin Alejandro (“True Blood”), Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Rus Blackwell (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Hank Stone (Punisher), J LaRose (Saw 3, Mother’s Day, Insidious), and Amy LoCicero (“Drop Dead Diva”), the supernatural thriller centers on a deaf girl who attempts to contact her late sister’s spirit during a seance but instead attracts the avenging ghost of a murdered woman. While David works on his set report, inside you’ll find some of the first ever pics, including a pretty haunting image! DiBlasi recently wrote, directed and exec produced Dread and served as exec producer for The Midnight Meat Train. He is co-producer for Hellraiser, currently in development.

When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
