Trailer Debut: ‘Death Race: Frankenstein Lives’!
Arriving on DVD and Blu-ray in 2011 is Universal Home Entertainment’s Death Race: Frankenstein Lives, the Roel Reiné-directed sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson’s remake that stars Luke Goss, Tanit Phoenix, Sean Bean, Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, Frederick Koehler, and Lauren Cohan. While a release date is still up in the air, we’ve got our hands on the first trailer that can be viewed inside. Newly arrived at Terminal Island, a prison for the most unredeemable of convicts, Carl ‘Luke’ Lucas must prove his mettle in a race to the death.
“Death Race 2 takes place in the very near future, as the United States economy begins to decline and violent crime starts to spiral out of control. To contain the growing criminal population, a vast network of for-profit, private prisons springs up, creating a lawless subculture ruled by gangs, cold-blooded killers and sociopaths. Director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows) is back this summer with dinosaurs-in-suburbia mystery box movie The End of Oak Street, and tickets are on sale NOW.
To celebrate tickets being put up for grabs this morning, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for The End of Oak Street along with a few new official posters.

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor come face-to-face with a monstrous threat in The End of Oak Street, which looks like M. Night Shyamalan with retro-style Amblin vibes.
As Mitchell explained to Entertainment Weekly, inspirations for the film include Jurassic Park, The Twilight Zone, Poltergeist, The Valley of Gwangi, and M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs.
The End of Oak Street is set in the early 1980s…
In the film, “After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.”
Maisy Stella and Christian Convery also star.
The film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell and produced by J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson and Tommy Harper. The executive producers are Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee and Leeann Stonebreaker.
