MGM Home Entertainment has announced a September 14 release for The Amityville Horror remake on DVD. No specs or is available at this time. Directed by Andrew Douglas, and starring Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George, the 2005 version purported that the residents of a tree-lined home in a Long Island suburb were terrorized by a haunted house. The home had been inhabited previously by a disturbed young man who murdered his family.
