Some pretty huge news was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con where Dark Sky Films revealed plans to unroll Adam Green’s Hatchet II in theaters completely UNRATED. Green told the crown that the MPAA has (once again) requested entire scenes be deleted as they are too violent to be trimmed! But it doesn’t matter as a yet-to-be-named theater chain is confirmed to be releasing the full version in theaters this October. As for more sequels (like the long-gestured third in 3-D), Green said they have been discussed but was quick to note that he feels he’s spent all his creative energy making part II as great as it can be. He’ll be involved in any future installments, but is uncertain of the capacity.
