The best news to break at the San Diego Comic-Con was that Guillermo del Toro would be directing a remake of Disney's The Haunted Mansion, a "scary" version of the theme park ride that takes tourists through an creepy old mansion loaded with singing ghouls, ghosts and witches (more here). After Del Toro made the announcement, Disney supplied Bloody Disgusting with a look at the teaser logo on display the Con. Dig on it below. "Millions of people from around the world visit The Haunted Mansion each year, but no one has ever had a tour guide like Guillermo del Toro," said Rich Ross, Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios. "Guillermo is one of the most gifted and innovative filmmakers working today and he is going to take audiences on a visually-thrilling journey like they’ve never experienced before."

what an IDIOT, he didn't have the testicular fortitude to tackle a Hobbit epic, so he whimpers away from that with his tail between his legs and is doing a remake of the remake that was based on the ride?...........un-friggin-believable!
Looks pretty much like the signage and logo already in existence on the ride...and I think that's a good thing! mav07 - Who wants to see the Hobbit over Haunted Mansion?? Also, it's not a remake of a remake...actually it's not a remake at all. He's not remaking the 2003 version. He's doing a completely new vision of the ride. Which is awesome.
@Mav07
Do you even READ? Del Toro left The Hobbit because it's taking FOREVER to get ANYTHING done. He got sick of it. 2 years on the project and it's not even green lighted yet. I don't blame him a bit. You should really research things before you flap your gums.
