SD Comic-Con ’10: OMFG of the Day: Watch a Red Band Trailer for ‘Machete’!
Update: Images of Robert serving tacos to fans can be found inside. Robert Rodriguez serving tacos to Comic-Con attendees? A crazy party? New footage? Twentieth Century Fox took over San Diego last night as they premiered new footage from Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis’ Machete that brings the red. Inside you’ll not only hear about what was shown at the party, but you’ll also be able to watch the new red band age-restricted trailer that premiered this morning on IGN. In theaters September 3, Machete (Danny Trejo) is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator.

Comic-Con footage run-down:
“-Michelle Rodriguez does some crazy voodoo shit with an egg on Machete to heal him; turns into a classic sex scene of the two getting it on.
-Next we find Jessica Alba and Machete taking on a masked luchador gunman, whom Alba takes out with her high-heeled shoes.
-Robert De Niro is the evil politician…heavy on the racism.
-Machete is in the hospital with the Avellan twins when all of a sudden hitmen burst in to kill him. He defends himself with a skull scraper and some crazy ass three-bladed chain weapon that he uses to gut a dude and then jumps out of a window using his guts like a rope to make his escape.”

The Limited Edition Blu-ray set collects together all four of creator Adam Green’s Hatchet films for the very first time on Blu-ray, and it’s set to be released on June 25, 2024.
