Over the past few days you've seen a few character posters, lobby cards and stills from Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis' Machete, now we've got a look at a whopping 27 pieces of imagery from the flick arriving in theaters September 3! Danny Trejo stars as Machete, a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator. Michelle Rodriguez, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Jeff Fahey, Elise Avellan, Electra Avellan, and even Tom Savini also star!
"The feature version of the Grindhouse trailer finds Machete (Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Marin) his “holy” brother, and April (Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger."
Im thinking about ejaculating in my own eye over this but not both eyes. Both eyes are only for Saw 7 and fuck you bunch of cunts that dont like real horror.
Lindsay Lohans name is still in the trailer. It's not in it when they're listing off the cast one at a time, but at the very end when they list all the credits at once, her name is indeed on the cast list. She's in the film.
Trejo is a genuine bad ass. I hope this is as good as the original (faux) trailer made it look to be. With the addition of Savini, Seagal, Johnson and...De Niro(!) this is sure to be a damn hit.
The only reason Lindsay Lohan isnt on the one by one naming of the cast is cause she is causing trouble right now in the media. And just for the sake of marketing and for the sake of the people (most of whom are you all) who will go "Oh...Lindsay Lohan is i this? Its probably gonna suck." They took her name off the trailer. But she is in fact still in it. And honestly, i think she'll do good in the movie, cause in the past, like her or not, with all her silly shenanigans in the press. At the end of the day she is actually a decent actress. So for that i will give her the benefit of the doubt.
The definition of whore is a woman who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money; prostitute; harlot; strumpet. While Lindsay's exploits in the press include partying and drinking there is not really much mention of her selling herself as a prostitute. For people to call her a whore is unfair. Another example of people allowing the media to dictate how they feel about someone. Baa! Baa!
Will this be shot in Grindhouse type film like his Planet Terror was. Part of me hopes so because I think it will add to what I believe an over the top movie will be. Can't wait.
It looks awesome for sure, but it lacks that retro gritty and scratchy grindhouse look which Deathprooth(which was pure awesomeness, 1st half especially) and Planet Terror. I think they're going alittle more 'clean' mainstream with this one.
