Although not horror, today is a slow news day and we’re pretty excited for IFC’s new Midnight label. With The Human Centipede out of the gate, and Doghouse, The Horde, and Prey forthcoming, we’re looking forward to a year filled with horror. The next film on the plate is Daniel Monzon’s bloody thriller from Spain entitled Cell 211, which won 8 Goya Awards (the Spanish Academy Awards). Opening tomorrow OnDemand via IFC Midnight (Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, Time Warner, and Bright House), the gritty prison drama/action film follows a young prison guard who is caught in the middle of a massive prison riot. To save his skin, he must pretend to be a prisoner. Watch the trailer debut below.
