New York based FilmNation Entertainment has acquired the screen rights to Christopher Pike’s best selling teen vampire series The Last Vampire, reports Screen Daily. The action thriller series chronicles the adventures of Sita, a 5,000-year-old vampire who never aged past her teens, and believes she is the last vampire in the world until her creator comes back to kill her. First published in 1994, the books were re-released last year under the name Thirst, with the first installment sitting on the New York Times Bestseller list for 30 consecutive weeks.
