In addition to Lionsgate re-releasing Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever on Blu-ray, the Gate is finally releasing Ti West’s sequel Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever in stores everywhere. It’s a tame Horror In Your House, but at least there’s that one major genre film arriving at a retailer near you. Read on to see what else in on the agenda.

CABIN FEVER 2: Lionsgate (TEX’S PICK OF THE WEEK)

CABIN FEVER delivered terror in the flesh, but now your flesh will crawl with CABIN FEVER 2: SPRING FEVER, the bloodcurdling sequel to the hit horror film. Days after a killer virus consumed his friends, Paul emerges from a ditch by a river. Though his body has been ravaged by the virus, he is determined to survive and to warn others of the danger. However, a water bottling plant has already distributed contaminated water to the local high school. The school’s students are excitedly preparing for the prom, unaware they’re about to have a grisly date with death.

TEX SAYS: Look…I know this film has problems, but if you ignore the last 10 minutes of it, you can see what Director Ti West was going for (before the film was wrenched away from him in post). Not really a sequel to Eli Roth’s original film, CABIN FEVER 2 is more of a twisted John Waters version of a late 70’s/early 80’s mash up of Teen movie and gore film. Twisted and momentarily brilliant…you should defiantly check it out.
