It's a virtual freak show! See the Kraken, the three Blind Witches, Zeus, Pegasus, Scorpioch and many more in 5 brand new character posters for Warner Bros. Pictures' The Clash of the Titans, which is being converted to 3D for its forthcoming April 2 release. I'm pretty sure I'd hang all of these on my walls -- assuming the movie is good. I'll shake my fist towards the sky and blame Zeus if it isn't.
"In “Clash of the Titans,” the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny."
Yet ANOTHER example of Hwood being unable to come up with their own ideas and having to plumb the past for movies. The original COTT was cheesy, but very fun and memorable.
Now, having said that, I'll probably see it like I have all the other remakes. Man, I hate being a pawn of The Man...
I have to kibitz a little at any remake hate over this one, since both film versions are adaptations of a myth that's thousands of years old. Remaking something original made 20 years ago is one thing. Retelling a mythological tale that's been around for millennia is hardly Hollywood stealing from itself.
Hollywood has been remaking it's own films for so long now that they are now remaking the remakes. It will never end and continue to happen. But fortunately there are some remakes that come along and are even better then before. I'm thinking this CLASH will be great and updated the right way for modern times.
well the 'monsters' from first poster doesn't look like a total LABYRINTH rip off... HOORAY for Hollywood, i wonder when they gonna remake this one itself :)
Because a giant octopus just cant be scary unless it has a human face with lots of teeth? really? And the first one looks like a poster to the low budget sequel to pans labyrinth. I was all for this movie untill I saw the trailer. Im sad now. Reguardless, I hope it does really well because I want more fantasy-action films to get made. btw, WHY is bd covering this film?
