DVD Active is reporting that Lionsgate Home Entertainment will be releasing the long-delayed and highly anticipated The Descent: Part 2 on DVD here in the States on April 27. It's a bummer that this won't be hitting theaters. Check out some early art below. The Jon Harris directed sequel will continue the story of Sarah, who as the only survivor of an all-female caving expedition gone horrifically wrong, suffers severe psychological trauma. Unable to speak, she accompanies a rescue team back to the cave, but events once again take a sinister turn.
yeah, i don't go to see many movies in the theaters nowadays but i would have DEFINITELY gone to see this!! either way i'm glad we have solid release news now! i can't wait to see it!
That sucks because i actually watched The Descent for the first time ever yesterday and i was thinking to myself that i wouldve liked it better if i watched it in theatres.
This is upsetting - I've been really hesitant about this sequel from day one, but I certainly would've gone to the cinema for it. And that artwork is atrocious; the theatrical poster looked much better. But if it weren't for the font, I think it would better fit the tone of these movies.
Maybe it's being dumped onto home video because the plot outline reeks of shit and audiences would know it? Seriously people...a traumatized woman is sent back into the caves with a rescue team? They would NEVER let her back in there in her condition!
