Thanks to a different distributor in Canada, Bloody Disgusting already has their hands on a Blu-ray copy of Wes Craven's original A Nightmare on Elm Street. To this day I stand my ground in saying it's one of the best hi-def transfers to date. For those of you in the States, Warner Home Video has announced an April 6 release for their Blu-ray release, but we're not sure if their transfer will differ (if it does, go buy the bare bones from Canada). Beyond the break you'll find the cover art and full specs for Warner's release.

Agreed with jonnothin. Blu-ray cover art is fucking terrible, and this is just another sad example. What happened to the awesome poster/VHS art of the 70s, 80s and early 90s?
i knew this was coming very happy as well as the anchor bay 2 disc dvd release of never sleep again
but i am hoping for new editions dvds of NOES PARTS 2-7 or a BLU-RAY box set of Noes 1-7
i agree with jonnothin too they should have used the original poster image for this BluRay and also for the DVD that came out before that. because it's one of my favorite vintage poster ever.
Well at least the movie is still as awesome as it always was.
also a new dvd box set is coming but it looks like it will just be the same as the old one except having jackie earl hayley's freddy pictured on the cover
very sad that no blu-ray box set is coming yet
