Jesus Christ, I wish you guys would stop hating on this series. This is usually a good site, but news on Twilight stuff doesn't belong here, as they're not horror movies: they're pre-teen fluff romance stories that happen to have horror characters. And they do that well. I'm a 31 year-old dude and I happened to like the first movie. I intend on seeing the others. I'm guessing some people think they're perverting the idea of vampires and werewolves, but it shouldn't be that big a deal for real horror fans who know real horror, and for anyone who reads or sees Twilight and thinks that's what these creatures are all about, they'll be disillusioned of such misapprehensions soon enough. Hell, maybe this will be a bridge for them into real horror. In any event, still dig the site, but enough with the Twilight hate.

Twilight brings in the money. That's all that matters.

Radicalex, very well said. i agree. i've seen both films (they were pretty enjoyable for what they were) but ECLIPSE is the one i'm most looking forward to seeing because i love Slade's 30 DAYS and because (from what i understand) ECLIPSE is the biggest and most dramatic of the Quad. but yeah, the HATE that goes on on this site is very daunting. it's become a turn off and destroyed a lot of people's interest in coming to it anymore.

Super-duper lame? Really? I wouldn't really call that professional reporting. I'm not a fan of this franchise, but it's grossing more than plenty of horror franchises. This clearly isn't for the horror fans.

The problem with this kind of dribble is that studios will see the big bucks this crap pulls in and horror will suffer a long period of watered down tween romance being the dominate style for years to come leaving fans of actual horror left to starve. sure it made money but mostly in its first week end and had huge audience loss the next, over 70 percent! That means you have a one trick pony based on hype and you target audience got suckered, chances are eclipse will bomb due to all those patsies they disapointed with new moon not turning out in record numbers for the next instalment.

New moon was horse shit and tuff to sit through, esp with the lame ass acting and horrible script. SO hopefully this one will be cool I love the director ALOT, and if I do see this. And thats a big IF. I will be seeing it for the director.

Ah, that pic confirms what I was expecting. Visually speaking, David Slade's work is fantastic - Hard Candy was beautiful. Although he's not using his usual cinematographer, this should at least LOOK a lot better than the previous two films (some of New Moon was very fucking ropey). Yes, I've seen both Twilight films (I'm not completely ignorant to other genres).
