I know you guys avoid reading about indie films like the plague, but this year's Sundance Film Festival line-up looks absolutely astounding. One of the big films is the Butcher bros. latest, The Violent Kind, a film from the producers of Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and producers Michael Ferris Gibson and Jeremy Platt, which revolves around a group of young bikers who find themselves tormented by mysterious and gory goings-on in a secluded farmhouse. Check out a brand new batch of gory stills below and keep your eyes peeled for more leading up to the January premiere.
"One night at a secluded farmhouse deep in the Northern California woods, a small group of hardened young bikers and their girlfriends are tormented when one of the girls becomes savagely possessed and a gang of "Rockabillies" seemingly from the 1950's descends upon them to collect what is growing inside her." Cory Knauf, Taylor Cole, Bret Roberts,Christina Prousalis, Tiffany Shepis and Joe Egender all star.
seems like more pushing on the image and less on the story telling, yet again. too many films concentrate on the taboo, gore and image and not enough on the story line. my horror has story lines not just blood, sex, and shock value.
