Well shiver me timbers, the internet is filled with unconfirmed rumors? Who would have guessed? Earlier this week a it was reported via an "unconfirmed" twitter account that Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies would be adapted into a six-part miniseries. Well, the writer posted on his own Twitter (and Facebook) account that the story was complete rubbish. "By the way, there's NO TRUTH to those PPZ "miniseries" rumors floating around on the Internets," he writes. "I have no idea who controls the "prideandzombies" Twitter account, but rest assured - it ain't me. The plan has always been to make the book a feature film." There you have it, from an official source. Who invented this Twitter thing anyway? I'm gonna go start me an official Ronald McDonald account STAT.

Joel78 8:19am, December 4, 2009 I actually think that this would work far better as a television mini-series. Pride and Prejudice worked well as a six parter in the mid-90s whereas both film adaptations were distinctly average. The longer running time obviously allows for more character and story development. Afterall, Elizabeth Bennett shouldn't refuse Darcy's proposal and then change her mind twenty minutes of screen time later. Plus, a television version would allow greated scope to show the ongoing zombie war that is repeatedly mentioned but never directly included as part of the story.
